So here's me typing this on the 20th of November 2020. I'm typing this for later use to remind myself the excitement I had to create this website and go on with my goals. Since I have already started with Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram I had to make sure I had a website as well. My blogs might be boring and not organized as well as this is just a time pass to talk about my experience and life as a person who is like me (no one can be me tho). A person who is a young talented girl, God gifted, self taught and trying to earn recognition through the art work. I do various type of designs some might argue I'm an artist not a designer. Some might say talent and luck. Some might say she's just a graphic designer. But to be honest I know what I like to do and what I don't like to do. I'm mainly into art but not the type you see everyday through media or not. I do quite alot to find myself and find what I'm capable of.
As time passed as an artist in grade 4 I loved fashion as well. I even drew outfits of fashion varying from gowns to tops and bottoms. That too I used to draw during my school time. Hmm, yes I know I shouldn't be doing that but I never got caught for doing so. But gradually I didn't like art for some reason and I threw them all in the trash which I slightly regret because its only the memory that I have to remember them with no pictures of them as well. And then forward to 8 years later I got back to my interest for fashion with a software. And started to design on them from scratch from deciding the materials, color, design and even styles of tops n bottoms. So this will related to my interest in Fashion.
To add I also have an interest for graphic designing as I was brought up with the passion my mom had for baking and cooking and then one fine day she decided to have a school stall. Which then motivated me to make business card, banners and later on labels and advertisements for social media posts, to even handling her accounts on Facebook and Instagram. Which boosted me to graphic designing and later one volunteering to make certificates for school projects as well. Then later to making posters and fast forward to 2020 I designed my own logo for my henna and design page. Being a graphic designer ain't easy tho... I'll write about it in my next blog or coming blogs.
Therefore, I'd say and call myself a designer. But I wouldn't refer myself as a creative designer tho. Because I'm more focused on proving my visuals....... understanding other's visuals ain't easy especially if they aren't able to express properly as they visualize. Trying to explain my point tho.
So here's what you will see in my blogs about my life and decisions I make related to art and design and I wouldn't mind even adding about admiring the work done by other people such as art, interior, architecture, paintings and even views while I travel. Because its nice to admire other peoples work as well in the end it related to art and design.
So looking forward to share my experiences from the good and bad I have faced to show other artists or designers that they aren't alone at some point we get to a point of getting flash backs from the past and points of mental breakdown and you know all those negative things.
But I'm here to share, motivate my people and viewers that its fine to be upset at times and its fine to feel things like that. But its you to chose whether you want to stick in those thoughts or push yourself to your goals. I really want to empower my women to achieve their goals and dreams in life whether its career or even personal goals. I'm using my time to actually share my experience to my viewers or my people to know good things take time and I'm typing these out to see its all part of the process. I just really want to empower my women and make them feel 'If there's a will there's a way' this was told by one of my dearest brothers from another mother (AKA a friend not step brother just to be clear on that). And he's literally like a backbone to me to support me and encourage me to my goals. And having people like them is much needed and appreciated so I'm using my precious time to make best use to share my experience as well as some sayings I was told by my closest people that kept me going but most of all its you who has to push yourself because its you who should dare to dream and make them into reality. LOL do I sound like I'm being too persuasive? Nah its all cool... But yeh that's why I'm saying my blogs aren't organized I'll just go with the flow to whoever wants to read my articles about my experience. Because there's no harm in sharing your experience you have faced and most of all to support my people and fellow talented artists.
So yeah my dilemma on designer or an artist is clear. So that's the reason I refer myself as a designer!
